Today, cancer care is demanding immediate action and judicious utilization of limited resources. While preventive measures and timely treatment are imperative; increased investment needs to be focused towards cancer research, infrastructure and indigenous medicines. The intersectional approach envisaged by RAPID is likely to bring that change and make cancer healthcare more accessible and decentralised.

While cancer research in India has grown in leaps and bounds over the years, the need of the hour is to revolutionise cancer care with digitisation and innovative methods, keeping in mind that it should be available to all. This is where RAPID aims to specialise and want to make a mark. RAPID pioneers the theory of demand-centric systemic approach for cancer care and prevention where stakeholders and partners will closely collaborate to reach the desired goal and outcome that will, at the end of the day, will immensely benefit cancer patients.

A RAPID action against cancer is a global need for it is an area where there are inordinate needs to be met within limited resources. Through a multi-pronged and inter-sectoral approach, the stakeholders need to be brought together to bring a significant reduction in the global cancer burden and create cost-effective interventions.

Cancer is an area of great concern owing to the limited resources. We need to reduce inequities by bringing the stakeholders together to build cost-effective cancer interventions. Priority areas needs to be set, resources need to be channelled to achieve pro-poor UHC that includes cancer prevention and care.

Understanding the need for a collaborative approach to ramp up action against cancer, we need greater participation for Advocacy/Awareness, Primary Preventive Screening, Patient Engagement, Counselling and Patient Rehabilitation. We are excited to build the same by collaborating with RAPID and aim to change the face of cancer care worldwide by integrating a patient centric approach.
